Endermologie® What should I expect at my first treatment?
- Body & skin assessment
The first process of an ENDERMOLOGIE® treatment is a thorough body & skin assessment as well as a questionnaire about your health and lifestyle. Be as honest as possible so your therapist can provide you with the very best treatment. It is a vital part of the process, as without a skin assessment, the therapist will not be able to accurately plan and perform an appropriate ENDERMOLOGIE® treatment.
In order to carry out a full assessment, you will be required to wear your underwear (preferably a G-String). Be prepared for your therapist to have contact with your skin as they will have to thoroughly feel, observe and get a good understanding of what is going on internally and externally by pinching, flicking and feeling your skin. From these check tests, your therapist determines what cellulite grade you have, if you are carrying excess fluid or if you have any loose skin. They will also identify your target zones and areas that concern you. You will also be measured and your Body Mass Index will be worked out.
This assessment is performed every 4-6 sessions.
- Photostation
The LPG® Photostation is a photographic examination that accurately allows the therapist to determine, under gravity, the areas that will be treated in priority. The apparatus assists in locating problem areas by identifying body asymmetries. Your Endermologist uses the photographs as an exact view of the zones and targets to treat. Not only is this beneficial for the therapist, it is the most precise way to monitor your progress. These become your Before & After photographs.
Your therapist will ask you to stand in the same position on the Photostation each time photographs are taken. There is a pull down screen that covers your face, so it will not be revealed in the photographs. Be sure to wear the same underwear so your body shape is not altered. Always wear your "Endo-Underwear" to your sessions!
You will have 4 series of photos taken; front, back, right side and left side. Photographs will be taken every 4-6 sessions.
- Bodystocking
Before your treatment, you will be required to slip into your LPG® Bodystocking. This is required for several reasons:
- Efficacy — allows deep work and varied manoeuvres without restriction
- Modesty — privacy is preserved irrespective of the clients position by strategically place opaque zones
- Hygiene — maintains hygiene by not allowing direct contact of the device to your skin, body or hair. The stocking is also personal to you and can be laundered.
- Mapping — your therapist can draw on the bodystocking directly to 'map out' target areas to be treated and mark the avoidance of specific body areas such as local contra-indications.
Bodystockings are available for both men and women. Women's body stockings are white and available in a variety of sizes. Men's body stockings are grey. It is recommended you remove all jewellery before your treatment.
- Endermologie® Treatment
An ENDERMOLOGIE® treatment will go for 35 minutes. The therapist performs the treatment with you lying on a therapeutic bed in your bodystocking.
To reduce cellulite, the whole body needs to be worked on in order to stimulate the lymphatic system and circulation to increase metabolic exchange. While you escape into your own world, your therapist will perform specific manoeuvres in specific areas depending on your cellulite condition.
ENDERMOLOGIE® is a pain-free non-invasive treatment. Relax while your therapist delivers an unsurpassed and relaxing treatment on your whole body.
- Post Treatment
As your lymphatic is stimulated for 3 hours and your blood circulation is stimulated for 6 hours after a session, the best thing you can do after a treatment is some form of exercise or detox box for 20 minutes to burn the fat and toxins that have just been released.
It is imperative throughout your ENDERMOLOGIE® course that you drink plenty of water to assist in the detoxification process as well as replenishment.
